Double Knitted Potholder

It's always fun to try a new technique, and I found some very nice antique charts (at The Antique Pattern Library) that I thought to be interesting to try in double knitting. Had some trouble making the pictures because at the photoshoot someone found just the perfect place to wash his naughty bits.

Takk, og i like måte! Man må flytte trådene hele tiden.

This really is delightful. Did you use a crocheted edging because of problems with the knitted edges? Are you satisfied with the texture? I use Peace Fleece worsted for my double knits, and crochet would add too much bulk.

The edges weren't too bad, but the result was just a bit too floppy for a potholder, without the crocheted edges. Now it's a bit more stiff and square. And it needed a hanger...
