Sixteenth century scarf

Now winter nights enlarge
The number of their houres;
And clouds their stormes discharge
Upon the ayrie towres.
Let now the chimneys blaze
And cups o'erflow with wine,
Let well-tun'd words amaze
With harmonie diuine.

Thomas Campion

Pattern from "Schoen Neues Modellbuch", Nurnberg 1597,
 for all to see on the Internet, thanks to the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek.
Made with lace weight wool and a 1.75 mm hook in the ultra-modern (18th century?) yarn technology named crochet.
